Support Worker - Rotorua (Part Time)

About the role

IDEA Services supports adults with intellectual disabilities to live in their own homes and take part in their communities. As a Support Worker in Rotorua, you will help clients with various needs achieve their goals and manage risk while keeping them safe. Permanent part-time roles are available, with availability from 7:30 am to 7 pm including weekends and split shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Support clients with intellectual disabilities living in their own homes to reach their goals and aspirations
• Manage risk and ensure the safety of clients with various needs

Required profile

• Previous experience in caregiving or providing personal care for adults is preferred
• A calm nature and confidence working with challenging behaviour
• Availability to work split shifts and weekends
• Physical fitness to provide necessary physical support
• Full New Zealand driver's licence
• Legal right to work in New Zealand

Required skills

• Comfortable and proficient with computers and tablets on a daily basis
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
