Community Support Worker - Masterton

About the role

HealthCare NZ is looking for compassionate and reliable Support Workers to support people in their homes and communities in Masterton. This is a permanent part-time role with around 15 to 20 guaranteed hours per week, ideal for work-life balance. Shifts run 7 days a week, typically 7:30-9:30am, 11:30-2:30pm and 4:00-5:00pm.

Key responsibilities

• Personal care, including showering and toileting
• Medication support
• Meal preparation
• Household tasks and home management
• Community participation and outings
• Manual handling and hoist transfers
• Bowel care
• Companionship and emotional support

Required profile

• A caring, respectful and positive attitude
• A full New Zealand driver's licence and reliable transport
• The right to work in New Zealand
• Willingness to undergo police vetting and other pre-employment checks
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings and weekends as required
• Helpful but not essential: previous support, caregiving, healthcare or disability support experience; health and wellbeing qualification; experience with personal care or mobility needs
