About the role

Join one of New Zealand’s most high‑profile retail operations as the Store Manager for the Albany MEGA store. Based on‑site in Albany, Auckland, you will lead a multi‑million‑dollar home‑improvement business, shaping commercial strategy and culture while driving performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a large, multi‑department team to deliver exceptional sales and service results.
• Set and execute commercial and operational strategies to meet growth and profitability targets.
• Embed a culture of excellence across customer service, safety, merchandising and team engagement.
• Oversee inventory, people management, financial control and compliance functions.
• Drive continuous improvement, innovation, partnerships and community engagement.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years senior retail leadership experience in large‑format, high‑volume environments.
• Proven record of delivering strong financial outcomes through commercial insight and operational discipline.
• Exceptional people leadership with experience developing and motivating diverse teams.
• Deep understanding of New Zealand’s retail environment, employment legislation and customer trends.
• Growth mindset with the ability to balance strategic vision and hands‑on execution.

Required skills

• Operational expertise in merchandising, stock management and forecasting.
• Health and safety compliance knowledge.
