About the role
The Department of Health Tasmania is looking for a Staff Specialist to provide specialist psychiatric care, clinical leadership and support for people with intellectual disability and mental illness. This full‑time, on‑site position is based in Auckland CBD and operates within a multidisciplinary team.
Key responsibilities
- Provide specialist psychiatric care to individuals with intellectual disability and mental illness.
- Lead and support clinical teams across a multi‑disciplinary work environment.
- Contribute to ongoing professional and career development initiatives.
- Participate in service planning and delivery for the mental health and intellectual disability service.

- Attractive salary range of $222,789 – $319,701 per annum pro rata plus 12% superannuation.
