Sourcing and Procurement Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially savvy Sourcing & Procurement Manager to join our Own Brands team. You will be responsible for delivering best‑cost price outcomes across a portfolio of private‑brand products while supporting category strategies and creating long‑term value for our co‑operatives and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead supplier negotiations, tenders and sourcing initiatives.
• Collaborate with Category Product Managers, Product Developers and suppliers to optimise cost, quality, innovation and supply outcomes.
• Deliver best‑cost price results across the Own Brand product portfolio.
• Monitor category cost drivers, commodity movements, supplier capabilities and market trends.
• Identify opportunities to improve supplier performance, reduce costs and build competitive advantage.

Required profile

• Strong background in procurement, sourcing, buying or commercial roles within FMCG, food, retail or manufacturing.
• Commercially minded with excellent negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Deep understanding of cost models, manufacturing processes and cost‑of‑goods drivers.
• Proven experience leading supplier negotiations and managing supplier relationships.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret commercial data and make informed decisions.
• Project‑management and organisational skills to handle competing priorities.
• Resilient, initiative‑driven and passionate about continuous improvement.
