Software Engineer – Java

About the role

We are looking for a Java‑focused Software Engineer to design, build and evolve enterprise‑grade backend platforms that support our fast‑growing financial services business. The role offers full ownership of high‑impact initiatives, from design through production, and requires close collaboration with business units and technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java services using Spring Boot and REST APIs.
• Write, optimise and troubleshoot SQL queries and Oracle stored procedures.
• Participate in the full software lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, deployment and production support.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to an engineering culture that values depth, pragmatism and collaborative decision‑making.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience in Java development.
• Solid SQL background, preferably with Oracle.
• Ability to work in complex, fast‑paced environments and support production systems when needed.
• Clear documentation and communication skills.
• Comfortable working directly with business stakeholders and technical teams.
