Small Plant Operator

About the role

As a Small Plant Operator with Green by Nature, you will maintain parks, reserves, sports fields and other public spaces across the Rodney and West Auckland region. This full‑time position involves operating a range of small plant equipment to keep community areas looking their best.

Key responsibilities

• Operate small plant machinery, ride‑on mowers and weed‑eating equipment to maintain public spaces.
• Perform edging, push‑mowing and detailed trimming for a polished finish.
• Carry out basic maintenance on equipment to ensure reliability.
• Maintain high standards of field, park and reserve upkeep, exceeding client expectations.

Required profile

• Previous experience operating small plant equipment and ride‑on mowers.
• Full Class 1 and 2 driver licence with confidence driving manual vehicles.
• Passion for outdoor work and a strong work ethic.
• Commitment to health and safety for self, teammates and the public.
