Site Manager

About the role

Our client in Queenstown is looking for an experienced Site Manager to take full ownership of a major construction project from start to finish. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will lead the on‑site team, coordinate trades and suppliers, and ensure the project is delivered safely, on time and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all on‑site construction activities.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to keep the project on schedule and within budget.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and daily site operations.
• Monitor programme deadlines and manage workflow across the site.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and other stakeholders.
• Ensure high standards of workmanship, productivity and quality control.
• Promote and uphold a safety‑first culture and comply with all health & safety procedures.

Required profile

• Trade‑qualified carpenter with 3‑5 years of New Zealand construction experience.
• Previous experience leading commercial or residential projects.
• Strong leadership, team‑oriented mindset and excellent communication.
• Physically fit with a positive, can‑do attitude.

• Proficiency with iPad and digital job‑management systems
