Site Activation Specialist – Clinical Trials

About the role

IQVIA is looking for multiple Site Activation Specialists to join its ANZ Site Activation team. You will support clinical trials from early site identification through activation and ongoing maintenance, working with internal study teams, investigative sites and external stakeholders across a broad portfolio of sponsors and therapeutic areas.

Key responsibilities

• Support site feasibility, identification, start‑up and maintenance activities for multiple studies.
• Prepare, review and track site start‑up documentation to meet regulatory, ethics and sponsor requirements.
• Act as the primary contact for investigative sites during start‑up and maintenance phases.
• Coordinate ethics and informed consent form submissions, including local adaptations and amendments.
• Lead site budget and contract negotiations.
• Maintain accurate site and study information in internal systems and project trackers.
• Communicate status updates, risks and timelines to internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months hands‑on experience in clinical trial site start‑up or activation.
• Experience managing ethics submissions and informed consent documentation.
• Proven ability to negotiate site budgets and contracts.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple sites in parallel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Health Sciences or a related field (or equivalent experience).
