Senior Structural Engineer – Hamilton

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our small, collaborative team in Hamilton. You will work across residential, industrial and commercial projects, delivering sound engineering judgement and high-quality design solutions for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver structural design work on a variety of projects.
• Provide technical input for residential, industrial and commercial designs.
• Work closely with clients to understand requirements and deliver practical solutions.
• Support, mentor and review the work of other engineers where appropriate.
• Contribute to project planning, design coordination and delivery outcomes.
• Undertake site investigations and technical assessments.

Required profile

• 8–10+ years of structural engineering experience in New Zealand.
• Strong technical capability in residential, commercial and/or industrial structural design.
• Solid understanding of seismic design and NZ Building Code requirements.
• Ability to build trusted client relationships and work independently while contributing to a team.
• Strong communication and collaborative mindset.
