Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Kwetta is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help build and evolve the Kwetta Portal – the operational heart of its EV charging ecosystem. You will join as the second dedicated developer on the platform, working closely with product, R&D, service and delivery teams to deliver high‑impact software that powers real‑world charging infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement new customer‑facing dashboards and UI components.
• Improve platform security, reliability and scalability.
• Develop integrations with external systems and real‑time data streams.
• Build, deploy and maintain cloud‑native, serverless applications.
• Influence architecture decisions and engineering practices as the product expands across New Zealand, Australia and Europe.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, operating at a senior level.
• Strong problem‑solving ability, quick learning and ownership mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, high‑trust team attitude.
• Good eye for UI/UX and ability to work in a small, fast‑moving environment.

• SvelteKit, React, Next.js, Vue, Nuxt or Angular (any modern full‑stack framework)
