Senior Manager, Business & Agri

About the role

The Senior Manager, Business & Agri leads a team of Business, Commercial and Agri bankers in South Canterbury, based at the Timaru branch. You will drive growth of the regional customer base, embed change initiatives and foster a high‑performance culture.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the regional strategy to grow the customer base across business, commercial and agriculture sectors.
• Lead and support Relationship Managers and Relationship Associates, providing clear purpose and guidance during change.
• Coach and develop team members through observational feedback and structured coaching.
• Promote a positive, curious team culture focused on continuous improvement.
• Oversee compliance and risk management for the region, ensuring adherence to ANZ policies.
• Model and reinforce ANZ’s values in daily operations.

Required profile

• Proven customer relationship management experience in business, commercial or agri sectors.
• Strong understanding of New Zealand’s business and agriculture markets.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams.
• Well‑connected network of professionals across Canterbury.
