Relationship Associate

About the role

The Relationship Associate role sits within ANZ's Business Banking division, supporting a team of Relationship Managers to deliver tailored banking solutions for small‑ and medium‑sized enterprises. This position is designed for emerging talent with a view to progressing into full Relationship Management responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse customer portfolios to understand financial performance, goals and challenges.
• Provide insights on industry trends and market dynamics to enhance the bank’s profile.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers, senior leaders and product partners to design and deliver appropriate solutions.
• Maintain compliance with credit policies and operational standards.
• Conduct financial analysis and interpret customer data to support accurate credit decisions.
• Assist in structuring security arrangements and ensure sound decision‑making.

Required profile

• Strong financial literacy, analytical ability and commercial acumen.
• Experience building relationships in a customer‑facing or delivery role.
• Understanding of security structuring and credit policy fundamentals.
• Banking experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Preferably a degree in accounting, finance or a related discipline.
