Senior Cybersecurity Consultant - Application Security (AppSec)

About the role

Datacom, one of Australasia's leading technology providers, is hiring a Senior Cybersecurity Consultant focused on Application Security within its Cybersecurity and Connectivity Services team. The role suits someone who wants to be an outcome advocate and help organisations build secure applications. It is open anywhere in New Zealand, with a preference for locations where Datacom has an office.

Key responsibilities

• Promote innovation, service and delivery enhancement, with a focus on future sustainability
• Work collaboratively with internal teams, the wider business and customers
• Foster vendor relationships supporting Cybersecurity technical services delivered by the Consulting and Operational teams
• Help plan, develop and implement Datacom's Application Security offerings and services

Required profile

• High-level knowledge of cybersecurity technologies and the ability to communicate with a wide range of customers
• Experience leading and developing a team of professionals, directly or indirectly
• Experience in an organisation driven by service, delivery and outcomes
• Ideally 7+ years in cybersecurity, including 5+ years in application security; may have been a penetration tester, developer or security consultant
• Relevant certifications or conference presentations demonstrating expertise

Required skills

• Technically focused cybersecurity qualifications
• Practical knowledge of DevSecOps and application security best practices such as OWASP
