About the role
Davis Ogilvie & Partners is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join its Central Otago team in Wanaka. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on delivering high‑quality civil engineering services throughout the region.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage civil engineering projects from concept through construction, ensuring they meet technical and quality standards.
- Develop and review design documentation, specifications and calculations for infrastructure works.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, consultants and contractors to achieve project objectives.
- Monitor project progress on‑site, addressing any issues that arise to keep schedules on track.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
Required profile
- Extensive experience as a civil engineer at a senior level, preferably within New Zealand.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively on‑site in Wanaka, Otago.
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities.
