Senior Account Executive – Accounting Firm Solutions

About the role

Zato is building agentic AI for accounting firms and seeks a commercially sharp Senior Account Executive to help firms adopt its platform. You will work with a defined list of accounting firms across New Zealand and Australia, building trusted relationships and guiding them from interest to implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of target accounting firms and develop relationships with owners, partners, directors and senior managers.
• Run structured discovery calls to understand firm size, workflow, bottlenecks and adoption risks.
• Deliver tailored product demos and articulate the commercial case for AI‑driven compliance automation.
• Handle objections around change management, pricing, data integration and staff adoption.
• Convert interested firms into pilots, annual commitments and broader roll‑outs.
• Maintain pipeline discipline, CRM hygiene, forecasting and follow‑up.
• Collaborate with implementation teams to ensure smooth hand‑over and successful user adoption.
• Provide market insights and product feedback to the CEO and product teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience selling to or working with accounting firms.
• Strong background in B2B sales, preferably in SaaS or workflow automation.
