Salesforce Technical Lead (Contract)

About the role

You will lead the delivery of large‑scale Salesforce applications for a public sector client in New Zealand. The position is contract‑based and focuses on continuous delivery, technical excellence, and stakeholder collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Define and tailor delivery approaches for continuous delivery of multiple Salesforce products.
• Identify and implement technical improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
• Provide strategic direction to delivery leads, functional work‑stream leads and external stakeholders.
• Act as the primary contact for client and internal teams to manage expectations, risks, issues and change.
• Lead project and status meetings, offering guidance to on‑shore and offshore technical and functional teams.
• Support rapid resolution of incidents affecting critical production systems.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience as a Salesforce Consultant, Principal or Architect.
• Proven ability to deliver large‑scale Salesforce applications and drive operational efficiencies.
• Experience leading product‑focused teams in continuous delivery environments.
• Strong understanding of delivery methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall and hybrid approaches.
• Subject‑matter expertise in sales, service and marketing work streams.
