Sales Manager – China Nutraceutical Contract Manufacturing (OEM/ODM)

About the role

The Sales Manager will lead our nutraceutical contract manufacturing business in the China market, driving OEM and ODM sales for a fast‑growing pharmaceutical company based in New Zealand. You will act as the primary point of contact for Chinese clients, ensuring product formulations meet local regulatory standards while delivering commercial results.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, acquire and grow a portfolio of OEM/ODM customers across mainland China.
• Manage the end‑to‑end sales cycle, from initial contact through contract negotiation and post‑sale support.
• Collaborate with R&D and production teams to tailor formulations that satisfy Medsafe, TGA, FDA and GACC requirements.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Chinese regulatory landscape and market trends.
• Prepare sales forecasts, reports and commission structures in line with company targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technical sales within the nutraceutical or pharmaceutical sector, preferably targeting China.
• Strong understanding of product formulation and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Mandarin is highly advantageous.
• Ability to travel to client sites in China as needed.
