Road Traffic Controller – Wellington Region

About the role

We are seeking experienced Road Traffic Controllers to join our team and support a range of clients across the Wellington region. This on‑site, contract position offers an immediate start and ongoing work, providing a vital service in managing road safety and traffic flow at construction sites, events and other temporary works.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and control vehicle and pedestrian traffic to ensure safe and efficient movement.
• Set up, adjust and maintain traffic control devices such as signs, cones, barriers and lights.
• Communicate with site personnel, contractors and the public to coordinate traffic plans.
• Monitor traffic conditions and respond promptly to incidents or hazards.
• Maintain accurate records of traffic control activities and report any issues.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in road traffic control or a similar safety‑critical role.
• Valid traffic control certification or the ability to obtain one.
• Strong awareness of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing site conditions.
