About the role

Join Platypus Shoes as a Retail Sales Assistant and help customers find the perfect pair of shoes from leading brands. You will work in a fast‑paced store environment, supporting the management team to achieve sales targets and deliver an exceptional shopping experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers with product selection, providing knowledgeable advice on footwear and streetwear.
• Support the management team in driving sales and maintaining operational excellence.
• Maintain store presentation, stock levels, and visual merchandising standards.
• Process transactions accurately using the point‑of‑sale system.
• Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and help train new staff.

Required profile

• Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
• Passion for streetwear and sneaker culture.
• Ability to thrive in a high‑energy, fast‑paced retail environment.
• Self‑motivated with a focus on meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Full availability for late‑night trade and weekends.
• Previous experience in customer‑facing roles such as retail, hospitality, or supermarket.
