About the role

As a Retail Assistant – Checkout you will provide efficient, accurate and friendly service at the checkout, ensuring every customer leaves with a positive shopping experience. You will work in a fast‑paced supermarket environment, adhering to Woolworths standards and policies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver efficient checkout service: accurately scan and pack orders, minimise wait times and handle refunds courteously.
• Engage and resolve customer needs: create positive interactions, answer queries and escalate issues when required.
• Support cash management: assist with cash‑office activities such as banking, reconciliations and investigating variances.
• Maintain store standards & safety: keep store areas clean and organised, uphold uniform standards and follow safety protocols.
• Contribute to service improvement: provide feedback and ideas to enhance the overall customer experience.
