Reservations Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced hospitality professional to lead the Reservations department at Larnach Castle. This hands‑on leadership role will oversee accommodation and tour bookings, manage a small team and act as Duty Manager during rostered shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all reservations functions across Camp Estate, Larnach Lodge and Castle Stables.
• Manage accommodation and tour bookings using the PMS, SiteMinder and FareHarbour systems.
• Act as Duty Manager, supervising daily operations across all departments during your shifts.
• Drive direct‑booking conversion and revenue through upselling and relationship management.
• Maintain travel‑agent and wholesaler relationships and ensure accurate invoicing.
• Lead, coach and develop the reservations team.
• Oversee billing accuracy, night audits and end‑of‑day reconciliation.
• Handle guest escalations and resolve complaints professionally and discreetly.

Required profile

• Based in New Zealand with a valid work visa.
• Proven experience in hotel or tourism reservations, including some leadership responsibility.
• LCQ/General Manager’s Certificate.
• Commercially aware with a solid understanding of revenue management.
• Calm, professional and solutions‑focused with excellent communication and organisational skills.
• High attention to detail, especially around billing and financial reconciliation.
