About the role

Riverside Lifecare is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join its 65‑bed aged care home in sunny Merrilands, New Plymouth. This fixed‑term position runs until August 2027 and offers a mix of AM, PM, night and weekend shifts, providing hospital‑standard care to residents.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of dedicated caregivers to ensure high‑quality resident care.
• Develop, monitor and update individual care plans.
• Conduct clinical assessments and document findings.
• Build lasting relationships with residents, families and general practitioners.
• Support the Clinical Services team and Care Home Managers in daily operations.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Registered Nurse, either in New Zealand or abroad.
• Current Annual Practising Certificate (APC) in good standing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
• Genuine passion for helping people with a friendly, positive attitude.
• Team‑oriented mindset with empathy and a drive to improve resident wellbeing.
• Commitment to health and safety procedures and continuous improvement.
