About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Youth Wellness Clinician to join Tui Ora in New Plymouth Central. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on supporting Taiohi – young people aged 10 to 18 – who are experiencing a broad spectrum of health, behavioural and social stressors. The clinician will work within a community‑oriented environment to promote wellbeing and resilience among adolescents.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver individual therapeutic interventions tailored to the specific health, behavioural and social needs of each Taiohi.
- Facilitate group sessions that encourage peer support, skill development and coping strategies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a coordinated approach to youth wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate records of interventions and progress in line with organisational policies.
Required profile
- Demonstrated experience or training in working with adolescents (10‑18 years).
- Strong understanding of health, behavioural and social issues affecting youth.
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, culturally sensitive care.
