Quality Manager

About the role

Join LIC’s Operations & Service Group in Hamilton as a Quality Manager, reporting to the National AB Manager. You will lead the development and continuous improvement of a high‑performance quality culture across Artificial Breeding, Diagnostics, Farm Management and Herd Testing.

Key responsibilities

• Champion and embed best‑practice standards across AB Operations.
• Lead quality systems, manage exceptions and QIRs, and drive preventative improvements.
• Build capability through education and training, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements such as Semen Export Regulations, Organic standards, OMAR, HSNO and Health & Safety.
• Own the internal audit programme, conduct audits, identify risks and ensure follow‑through on improvement actions.
• Oversee business risk mitigation, including product recall readiness and business continuity scenario testing.
• Partner with the National AB Manager and leadership team to execute strategy and lift operational performance.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in a business‑related field.
• At least 3 years of experience leading quality or risk functions in regulated, time‑sensitive environments.
• Strong influencing and relationship‑building abilities with a track record of driving change.
• Proven success in continuous improvement and project delivery.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO or similar quality management systems.
