Project Manager - Digital Innovation

About the role

Join Downer’s Digital team in Auckland as a Project Manager – Digital Innovation. You will lead user‑centric digital projects that support the Transport and Infrastructure business unit, helping the organisation stay competitive and responsive to evolving needs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and deliver digital projects on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Ensure projects align with business objectives and enhance operational efficiency and user satisfaction.
• Gather requirements, manage resources, mitigate risks and track financial performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, subject‑matter experts and cross‑functional teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee vendor, commercial and risk management activities.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated and technically minded individual.
• Strong stakeholder and relationship management with excellent communication skills.
• Proven ability to deliver projects to scope, schedule and budget.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and external processes.
• Strong financial acumen for tracking actuals and forecasts.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all organisational levels, from project teams to executives.
