Production Technician

About the role

Permanent, full‑time position with competitive remuneration and benefits, based in Upper Hutt, New Zealand. The role provides career growth and professional development within a global animal health manufacturing organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Manufacture antigen and/or vaccine to required standards according to production schedules, operating equipment and following SOPs.
• Document all tasks in batch records, worksheets or logs in line with Good Documentation Practice (GDP).
• Maintain good housekeeping, plan daily workload and communicate with the manufacturing team to ensure smooth product flow.
• Train other technicians on‑the‑job and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Investigate deviations, identify corrective and preventive actions, and complete deviation reports promptly.

Required profile

• Science degree or equivalent (preferred).
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
• Computer skills including spreadsheets, word processing and SAP.
