Production Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Production Technician to support day‑to‑day operations within an Integrated Process Team (IPT) at our Upper Hutt manufacturing site. You will help meet production, quality, safety, delivery and cost targets for antigen and vaccine products in a regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manufacture antigen and/or vaccine products according to schedules and standards.
• Operate equipment and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain cleaning, preparation and sterilisation standards while minimising waste.
• Document work accurately in batch records, worksheets and logbooks following Good Documentation Practice.
• Enter manufacturing data into spreadsheets for analysis and reporting.
• Support IPT documentation, review and archiving to enable product release.
• Provide on‑the‑job training for fellow technicians.
• Participate in Tier 1 and On‑Point problem‑solving activities, including 8‑Step Problem Solving.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement projects and cross‑functional initiatives.

• Logical problem‑solving capability.
• Relevant academic background in a scientific or engineering discipline.
