Production Line Leader – Rotating Shift (Day/Afternoon)

About the role

Oji Fibre Solutions is seeking an experienced Production Line Leader for its Industrial Line in Penrose, Auckland. The role operates on a rotating day and afternoon shift (7:00 am‑3:00 pm then 3:00 pm‑11:00 pm) and reports to the Production Manager while supervising roughly 20 operators and packers.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coach a team of operators and packers, driving continuous improvement in production performance.
• Maintain strong housekeeping standards and ensure regular health‑and‑safety training.
• Enforce HACCP compliance and actively participate in safety forums.
• Monitor and achieve operational KPI targets, supporting machine operators with problem‑solving.
• Make effective decisions under time‑pressured conditions and manage resources efficiently.

Required profile

• Proven supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in paper‑bag or packaging production.
• Demonstrated ability to coach staff, handle critical conversations, and remain calm under pressure.
• Strong communication skills and a focus on health‑and‑safety discipline.
