Product Manager – Accounting Domain

About the role

Re-Leased is looking for a Product Manager to own the accounting capabilities of its cloud‑based property management platform. You will shape the "why" and "what" of features that keep property managers’ financials accurate, compliant and trusted, working across reconciliation, trust accounting, ledgers, tax, payments and ERP integrations.

Key responsibilities

• Own the roadmap and backlog for two accounting‑domain squads, translating customer needs and business priorities into clear Azure DevOps user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Deliver high‑quality features on time, proactively managing risks related to data accuracy, regulatory compliance and financial reporting.
• Apply deep accounting knowledge (ledgers, reconciliation, trust accounting, tax treatment, accruals) to guide product decisions across NZ, AU, UK and US markets.
• Act as the bridge between accountants, finance teams and the platform, ensuring the product reflects real‑world accounting workflows.
• Partner with engineering and finance stakeholders to balance correctness, usability and delivery risk.
• Conduct independent customer interviews and analyse product usage data to inform prioritisation.
• Leverage AI tools daily for research synthesis, spec drafting and rapid prototyping, building fluency in context engineering.

Required profile

• Proven product management experience, preferably in SaaS or fintech environments.
• Strong fluency in accounting concepts and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Ability to run discovery activities, translate insights into actionable roadmaps and make data‑driven prioritisation decisions.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with customers, engineers and finance teams.
• Self‑starter comfortable working remotely or from the Napier office.
