Procurement Partner

About the role

Join Watercare’s agile Procurement team as a Procurement Partner. You will work with motivated colleagues to drive commercial negotiations and procurement processes that support the organisation’s climate‑resilient investment programme.

Key responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships across the business and partner with stakeholders to understand needs and deliver value‑driven solutions.
• Develop and implement category strategies that balance cost efficiency, service delivery and sustainability objectives.
• Lead end‑to‑end sourcing activities, from market engagement and supplier evaluation to negotiation and contract finalisation.
• Engage and manage supplier relationships to foster innovation, partnership and improved performance.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts, ensuring strong commercial positions and compliance with Watercare policies.
• Monitor supplier and contract performance against frameworks, service standards and strategic outcomes.
• Collaborate across teams to identify opportunities, leverage initiatives and strengthen procurement capability organisation‑wide.

Required profile

• 8+ years of procurement experience in a medium to large organisation.
• Proven success delivering strategic, commercial and operational outcomes.
• Expertise in category management and modern procurement practices.
• Strong ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders and adapt to changing conditions.
• Excellent interpersonal and business‑partnering skills.
