Procurement Manager

About the role

The Procurement Manager will be the go‑to advisor for procurement across Lotto NZ, helping teams make fair, commercially sound sourcing decisions. You will partner with stakeholders to understand their needs, shape procurement plans and lead tender processes that deliver public value.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with organisational goals.
• Support tender activity through the Government Electronic Tender Service (GETS).
• Coach teams on best procurement practices and advise on supplier and contract management.
• Assist with commercial negotiations to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Strengthen procurement frameworks and processes to meet Crown Entity obligations.

Required profile

• Experienced procurement professional with a practical, collaborative approach.
• Strong commercial judgement and a passion for delivering public value.
• Confident stakeholder engagement and ability to guide teams through procurement decisions.
• Excellent communication, organisation and relationship‑building skills.
• Proven experience in sourcing, tendering, supplier management and commercial negotiation.
• Familiarity with Government Procurement Rules and GETS is an advantage.
• Exposure to technology procurement and a relevant qualification such as CIPS, or equivalent experience.

Required skills

• CIPS qualification or equivalent procurement certification.
