Processing Officer On Call - Blenheim

About the role

New Zealand Post is hiring an On Call Processing Officer for its McArtney Street branch in Blenheim. Processing Officers sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight so that couriers can deliver them. On Call staff cover staff sickness and leave and help during peak delivery periods, working on call as and when required.

Key responsibilities

• Sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight at the McArtney Street branch
• Work on call, Monday to Friday, across the day shift and usually (but not limited to) mid-to-late afternoons
• Cover staff sickness, leave and assist during peak delivery periods

Required profile

• Available to work on call across the day shift, Monday to Friday, usually mid-to-late afternoon
• A committed teammate who keeps themselves, others and the site safe
• Energy for a physically demanding role, able to lift up to 25kg
• An eye for detail and good geographical knowledge
