Print House Operator

About the role

Gallagher is expanding its Print House team and is looking for both experienced operators and motivated newcomers to join a busy manufacturing environment. The role involves producing high‑quality printed products while meeting production schedules, quality standards and inventory accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and set up print house equipment for commercial and industrial printing jobs.
• Process print jobs accurately and efficiently, ensuring colour accuracy and print quality.
• Generate and manage work orders using SAP.
• Monitor production schedules to guarantee on‑time completion.
• Track toner, consumables and stock levels; issue stock and maintain inventory records.
• Conduct routine stock audits and keep work areas organised.
• Respond to production queries and support internal customers.
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and escalate complex faults.
• Support Lean Manufacturing, 6S and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Follow health and safety requirements and contribute to a positive team culture.

Required skills

• Experience operating commercial or industrial printing equipment (for experienced role).
• Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of production scheduling, work‑order management and stock control.
• Understanding of colour accuracy and print quality standards.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and 6S principles.
