About the role
The Pool Receptionist is the welcoming face of Napier Aquatic Centre, providing friendly assistance to swimmers and visitors. This full‑time position offers flexible fortnightly rosters and a supportive team environment.
Key responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers, answering enquiries and providing information about pool facilities.
- Manage bookings, cash handling, payments and reception administration accurately.
- Maintain high presentation standards and keep records up to date.
- Support a safe, inclusive and enjoyable environment for all patrons.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations.
Required profile
- Proven experience in a customer‑focused role, preferably in retail or a busy service setting.
- Confidence handling payments, bookings and basic administration with accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and a warm, professional manner.
- Ability to stay calm, organised and positive in a high‑energy environment.
- Flexible, team‑oriented approach and willingness to pitch in where needed.
