Platforms Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Platforms Engineer to join our Wellington team. The position is focused on the operation, maintenance and support of our network transport infrastructure, core IP node platforms and fibre installation projects. You will work on‑site, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure high‑availability services for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor network transport systems to guarantee reliable service delivery.
• Support, troubleshoot and optimise core IP node platforms, including routing and switching components.
• Assist with planning, deployment, testing and maintenance of fibre optic connections.
• Respond to network incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Document configurations, procedures and changes to maintain an accurate knowledge base.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and provide after‑hours support as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in supporting networking technologies.
• Ability to work on‑site in the Wellington area.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
