Picker / Packer – Team Member (Christchurch)

About the role

We are seeking motivated Picker/Packer team members to join our Christchurch facility, part of Davin Industries – a leading precision sheet‑metal fabricator operating since 1962. The role involves handling components and finished goods in a fast‑moving production environment, supporting both prototype and volume manufacturing projects. You will work alongside skilled colleagues in a culture built on trust, integrity and a commitment to quality.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately pick and pack components, sub‑assemblies and finished products according to order specifications.
• Conduct basic quality checks on items before they are packed to ensure compliance with standards.
• Update and maintain stock records, picking lists and related documentation in the warehouse system.
• Assist with inventory counts and cycle‑count activities as required.
• Keep the work area clean, organised and safe, adhering to all health and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve any picking or packing issues.

Required profile

• Previous experience in order picking, packing or similar warehouse role.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Reliability, punctuality and a safety‑first mindset.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Desirable: background in quality assurance or inspection processes.
