About the role
We are seeking a People & Workforce Partner to support the establishment of a new regional Water Services Organisation until 30 June 2027. Working closely with the People & Workforce Lead, you will help design and implement people structures, systems and processes that enable a successful organisational set‑up and transition.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement people structures, systems and processes for the new organisation.
- Provide practical HR advice, workforce insights and delivery support across a complex, high‑profile transition programme.
- Contribute to workforce planning, organisation design, employee transition and change activities.
- Develop and maintain reporting, dashboards and analytics to support decision‑making.
- Partner with leaders and workstreams to foster staff engagement and clear communication.
- Collaborate with wider People & Culture teams across councils.
Required profile
- Tertiary qualification in HR or a related discipline.
- Proven experience delivering HR partnership in fast‑moving environments.
- Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- High integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
- Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its practical application.
- Desirable experience in public sector, local government or organisational change.
