People Solutions Consultant – Employment Relations

About the role

Fonterra is looking for an experienced People Solutions Consultant to join the Employment Relations (ER) workstream within its People Solutions team. In this role you will act as a trusted adviser, managing complex ER cases, supporting leaders, and helping to raise the overall capability of the HR function.

Key responsibilities

• Manage ER casework and provide expert advice to frontline leaders on people‑management challenges.
• Develop and deliver training on ER processes to uplift capability across the organisation.
• Improve systems, tools and processes to enhance the employee experience.
• Lead or support the implementation of process, project and policy changes.
• Embed the P&C Operating Model and partner across People & Culture to deliver high‑impact service.

Required profile

• Several years of specialist ER experience, preferably in a shared‑services or HR‑operations environment.
• Proven ability to manage complex, sensitive situations and conduct high‑quality employment investigations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to convey information clearly under pressure.
• Experience with restructuring or change processes is advantageous.
• Consultative mindset with informal leadership through coaching and mentoring.
• Proactive, influential without authority, and passionate about developing others.
