About the role

The Patient Care Specialist provides non‑clinical support in a physician’s office, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for patients. Working Monday‑Friday, this full‑time position focuses on administrative tasks that keep the clinic operating efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
• Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar.
• Perform complex administrative duties such as registration, medical record handling, and coordination with third‑party payers.
• Assist patients with health‑insurance questions and verify coverage.
• Maintain accurate patient data and ensure compliance with office policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma; an associate degree or higher is a plus.
• Minimum three years of customer‑service experience.
• At least one year of experience working with health‑insurance plans, medical records, medical terminology, registration, scheduling, or third‑party payers.
