Part‑Time Security Officer (Hornby, Christchurch)

About the role

Millennium Services Group is looking for reliable, professional Security Officers to join the team at its Hornby shopping centre in Christchurch. This part‑time position involves maintaining a safe environment while delivering courteous customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols to protect people, property and assets.
• Provide a visible, approachable security presence.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, emergencies and assistance requests.
• Identify and assess risks, taking appropriate action according to procedures.
• Follow all site and company security protocols.
• Complete incident reports and keep accurate records.

Required profile

• Valid Security Licence.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Certificate of Approval (COA) is required.
• Previous security experience (retail experience highly regarded).
• Availability for day, night and weekend shifts.
• Good physical fitness for patrol duties.
• Ability to work independently and follow procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and reliable, punctual work history.
• Full New Zealand working rights.
