Part‑time Registered Nurse – Rest Home Care

About the role

Join the Enliven team at Chalmers Home in New Plymouth as a part‑time Registered Nurse. You will provide clinical care, companionship and activity coordination for residents living in a rest‑home and hospital‑level care environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality nursing care across rotating AM, PM and night shifts (64 hours per fortnight).
• Lead and support Health Care Assistants, ensuring safe medication administration and accurate documentation.
• Assess and monitor residents with complex health needs, using person‑centred approaches.
• Participate in weekend and night‑shift allowances, overtime, and on‑call duties as required.

Required profile

• NZ‑registered Nurse with a current Annual Practising Certificate.
• Minimum two years of RN experience, preferably in aged care or with adults with complex health needs.
• Ability to work independently and, where needed, assume sole‑charge responsibilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills, empathy and a commitment to the values of compassion and respect.

Required skills

• InterRAI assessment system (training provided if needed).
