Part-time Caregiver – Aged Care Support

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate part-time Caregiver to join our team at Carter House Lifecare and Village in Te Puke. You will support residents in an aged-care home and village setting, providing high-quality personal care and fostering a warm, respectful environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.
• Provide companionship and emotional support, encouraging social interaction.
• Monitor and record residents’ health status, reporting any changes to senior staff.
• Support residents with dementia, following best practice care approaches.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment in accordance with health-and-safety procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum NZQA Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or an equivalent nursing qualification.
• At least 18 months experience in a caregiver or similar role, preferably in aged-care.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Genuine love for helping people and a positive, customer-focused attitude.
