Operator, Vineyard

About the role

Reporting to the Vineyard Manager, you will work in the vineyards where Constellation Brands’ award‑winning wines are produced. Your daily duties will focus on operating machinery and caring for the vines to ensure consistent quality year after year.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures, wear proper PPE and report incidents.
• Supervise seasonal workers during peak periods.
• Perform mulching, spraying, trimming, plucking and general vine maintenance.
• Maintain trellis systems and irrigation infrastructure.
• Participate in harvest operations and other vineyard tasks as required.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic about joining the wine industry and eager to develop quickly.
• Team player with a can‑do attitude.
• Experience in vineyards or a similar field is preferred but not essential.
• Flexibility to work varied hours or shifts during seasonal work (harvest, spraying, frost fighting, etc.).
• Current driver’s licence.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand (work visa or citizenship).
