Observability Specialist

About the role

As an Observability Specialist you will support the delivery and day‑to‑day operation of our enterprise observability platform, ensuring consistent visibility across a hybrid technology environment. Working closely with the Senior Observability Engineer you will help roll out new platform capabilities, onboard systems and maintain the health of monitoring across the business. This is a 12‑month fixed‑term role focused on delivering a critical observability uplift.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and enhance observability platform capabilities.
• Deploy and manage monitoring agents across infrastructure and platform environments.
• Build and maintain dashboards that provide clear operational visibility.
• Configure and refine alerting to improve signal quality and reduce noise.
• Monitor platform health, investigate and resolve data or connectivity issues.
• Onboard new systems and services following established processes and standards.

Required profile

• Technically capable engineer eager to grow experience in observability, monitoring, platform operations and automation.
• Ability to follow processes, contribute to documentation and support continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with observability or monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
• Experience deploying or supporting agents on Linux, Windows or cloud environments.
• Familiarity with automation or deployment tools like Ansible, Helm or SCCM.
• Understanding of cloud or hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Exposure to version‑controlled configuration or code‑based deployment practices.
