Northern Regional Sales Manager

About the role

Lead sales excellence across Auckland, Northland, Waikato and Bay of Plenty for New Zealand’s leading steel solutions provider. You will own regional sales performance, nurture top customer relationships and drive profitable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of eight Account Managers to exceed sales, margin and growth targets.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customers and national merchants.
• Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with national product initiatives.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Managers, the National Sales Manager and cross‑functional teams to align roll‑forming products with market opportunities.
• Ensure superior customer service while upholding health, safety and environmental standards.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and cost control to meet financial objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading and growing large sales teams, preferably in steel, manufacturing or a related industry.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record in sales planning, P&L responsibility and profitable growth.
• Excellent leadership, coaching and communication skills.
• Strategic thinker able to translate market dynamics into actionable plans.
• Hands‑on, customer‑focused leader with knowledge of health, safety and environmental standards.
