Night Auditor

About the role

We are looking for a Night Auditor to join our team at Novotel Christchurch Airport. This fixed‑term position involves delivering exceptional guest service throughout the night while ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the hotel during night shifts and act as the point of contact when senior managers are absent.
• Assist guests with inquiries, provide a warm and friendly interaction, and resolve complaints appropriately.
• Handle emergency situations, including security, maintenance, fire, or evacuation procedures.
• Complete audit procedures, run financial reports, investigate any anomalies, and perform end‑of‑night tasks.
• Conduct regular security walks, checking all areas for quality and presence.
• Operate the front desk for check‑in and check‑out periods during the night.

Required profile

• Available to work overnight shifts.
• Ideally holds a Duty Manager licence.
• Confident, motivated, with a strong guest‑service orientation.
• Professional personal presentation and a solid work ethic.
• Previous front‑office experience at a supervisory level.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Flexible, adaptable, a team player, and able to prioritize under pressure.
• Right to work in New Zealand.
