Network Support Team Member – Leisure Centres (Part‑time)

About the role

Join Auckland Council’s Network Support Team and work across a variety of leisure centres. This hybrid, part‑time position lets you combine lifeguarding, customer service, fitness operations and recreation programme support in a flexible schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Lifeguarding – supervise pool areas, ensure safety and respond to emergencies.
• Customer Support – welcome visitors, process memberships and bookings, and provide a positive experience.
• Fitness & Facility Support – assist with gym operations, maintain clean spaces and manage equipment.
• Recreation Programmes – set up activities, help deliver programmes for all ages and support event logistics.

Required profile

• Enjoys an active lifestyle and working with people.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Reliable, mature, safety‑focused and adaptable to different sites.
• Holds a full driver’s licence and has access to a vehicle.
