Mower Operator – Parks and Recreation

About the role
The Parks and Recreation team is seeking a dedicated Mower Operator to maintain the turf areas across Hamilton's parks. Reporting to the Sports Grounds and Facilities Team Leader, you will ensure that all green spaces are presented to a high standard for the community.
Key responsibilities
- Mow and maintain turf areas using commercial front‑mounted mowing equipment.
- Perform basic machinery maintenance and routine checks.
- Ensure safety standards are met while operating equipment.
- Work independently to achieve daily mowing targets.
- Assist with other grounds‑keeping tasks as needed.
Required profile
- Energetic, hardworking and able to work under pressure.
- Team player who is willing to get hands‑dirty.
- Ability to work independently and follow set tasks.
Required skills
- Experience operating commercial front‑mounted mowing equipment.
- Basic machinery maintenance knowledge.
