About the role
We are looking for a motivated Medical Advisor – International Assistance to join the Assistance Team at International SOS. In this position you will use your clinical expertise to provide high‑standard medical support to travelers and expatriates worldwide, ensuring timely and effective solutions in a fast‑paced, global environment.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate incoming assistance requests from global locations, assess client needs and arrange support through approved international service providers.
- Gather and consolidate information, provide clear updates to clients and stakeholders, and ensure travel and transportation arrangements meet operational standards.
- Escalate complex cases according to protocol and support senior management as required.
- Promote International SOS services to prospective and existing clients, assisting in presentations and business development activities.
- Maintain and update the global provider network, conduct assessments and site visits when needed.
- Deliver educational sessions and presentations to clients and prospective clients, participating in client events.
Required profile
- Medical graduate with strong clinical experience in an Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit.
- Valid medical registration in your home country or registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities, responsible, self‑disciplined and able to perform on‑call duties.
- Strong written and spoken English proficiency.
- Willingness to travel or rotate as required.
